Tom claims it has always been his greatest challenge to capture the breathtaking beauty of this area. It began with a 35mm camera and printing Cibachrome photos from slides in his darkroom, which were then displayed at a gallery in the Bandon Jetty area. Most of his recent photography has been covering sports, since his grandchildren are runners but given the chance, he maintains he can always get lost in photographing the local scenery.

Earl has been actively engaged in photography for almost 30 years and has amassed a stock collection of approximately 500,000 images in both film and digital formats. Initially concentrating on nature and wildlife, he has broadened his endeavor to include travel and scenic images. Since becoming part of the Bandon community these last 17 years, he has been able to capture a lot of precious moments along the Oregon Coast.
Photography has been a passion of mine since I picked up a camera in high school and found creative freedom in the classroom. I absolutely love the progression of photography. While I am fascinated by technology and the digital age, which allows me to explore and push new limits in photography, I still love the aesthetic feel of film and what it brings to the experience of taking a photo.
