About Mary

Mary is an artist residing and working in Bandon, Oregon.

While the coastal scenery of the Bandon area can be almost overwhelmingly magnificent, Mary's goal as a painter is to describe its essence with brushes and paint one intimate view at a time. A wind-carved tree, a sea rock reflected in the wet sand, or a setting sun over the jetty in winter. She also loves to paint still life and simple florals to honor the beauty of the everyday. Mary enjoyed a few decades as a wood-firing potter, so you will often see one of her handmade teabowls or vases hiding in her paintings.
