THE THEME:

The reds and golds of falling leaves in autumn... Water falling past a rocky cliff...Dried sunflower petals falling to the earth...However you interpret FALLING FOR COLOR, please share your artwork in this special Community Show!

RULES OF ENTRY:

Accepted Media: All 2-D media, including textiles, fiber art, oil, acrylic, watercolor, pastel, drawing, printmaking (artist-pulled prints only), collage, assemblage mixed media, encaustic, glass, and ceramics (must be under 15 lbs). No Photography or Video, please. Size Limitations: Artworks not to exceed 26”, outside dimension in any one direction, including frame. All work to be hung on the wall must be framed or on gallery wrap canvas, including a wire hanging (No saw tooth hangers please).

Entry Fees: $10 for the first piece, $5 for the second piece, and $5 for the third piece. CASH OR CHECK ONLY PLEASE. (made payable to “Art by the Sea Gallery”)

Sale of Work: All work MUST be for sale. Art by the Sea Gallery and Studio retains a 25% commission on all sales for this exhibition; please price your work accordingly.

​

Awards: The judge for the show this year is to be announced soon.

​

Prizes: will be $50 for first place, $25 for second place, and $15 for third place winners, plus awards of Honorable Mention ribbons. A People’s Choice Award will be decided by public ballot, with the winner to receive a one-month exhibition as featured artist at Art by the Sea Gallery during 2027.

Art Delivery:

• Sun & Mon Oct 4th & 5th from 10:30 – 3:30 pm

• 1 to 3 pieces of art with paperwork and fees (cash or check made out to “Art by

the Sea Gallery”)

• If you need an alternative date or time to drop off your work, please call the
