Little did I know that two baby lambs (a Dorset and a Southdown) would begin a passion for the forgotten art of spinning and weaving. Spinning their wool into yarn and weaving it into woven functional creations filled me with a sense of delight and purpose.

 

Raising the sheep, shearing, processing the wool, and weaving also gave me a deep appreciation for the entire process.

I have been a fiber artist over 40 years specializing in tapestry and nuno felting.

Nuno felting is a technique where I use wool (roving) that I work through sheer silks using water, soap and agitation to create a strong bond with incredible texture.

​

I create art to wear: flowing scarves, vests, ponchos, capes, and table runners, etc.
